Welcome to the Silverline Room Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement. It is an important document as it contains the Terms of the Tenancy and sets out the promises made by the Landlord and the Tenant to each other. As such you should read the document through carefully and raise any queries with the Landlord or Letting Agent who gave you this Agreement. Once signed and dated this Agreement will be legally binding and may be enforced by a court. Make sure that it does not contain terms with which either party does not agree and that it does contain everything both parties want to form part of the Agreement.
At the same time, please be aware that if either part is in any doubt about the content or effect of this Agreement, we recommend that you seek independent legal advice before signing.
As well as the Tenancy Agreement, you may be asked to sign the check-in or inventory which will list the landlord’s Fixtures and Fittings and the other items which the landlord provides for your use during the Tenancy. You will also be given copies of the following documents, receipt of which is acknowledged on the final page of the Agreement itself:
If any of these documents are missing when you come to sign your Agreement, please speak with the Letting Agent as these documents are just as important as the Tenancy Agreement itself.
